1.
Individual
Psychotherapy
At Dawn Kenny Counselling Service, I offer individual psychotherapy to adults who are experiencing a range of difficulties. This includes issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship problems. My approach is tailored to each individual, and I offer a safe and confidential space to explore your feelings and experiences.
2.
Trauma
Therapy
I also offer trauma therapy, a specialised way of working with clients so they can overcome the traumatic event so it no longer gets in the way of living daily life.
3.
Coping with Loss & Grief
Whatever type of loss you’ve suffered, there’s no right or wrong way to grieve. But by understanding the stages and types of grief, you can find healthier ways to cope.
4.
Improving your Self Esteem
Self-esteem is how we value and perceive ourselves. I am here to provide a safe and supportive space for you to explore your thoughts and emotions to work towards building a stronger and healthier relationship with yourself.
My Approach
At Dawn Kenny Counselling Service, my approach is client-centered and trauma-informed. I believe that each individual has unique experiences and needs, and I work collaboratively with my clients to create a safe and supportive space where they feel heard and understood. I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches, to help my clients achieve their goals.
About me
I am a trauma-trained therapist with extensive experience working with individuals and families. I am a registered member of the Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (IACP). In addition to my private practice, I have also worked in a variety of mental health settings, including charities and community-based organisations.
